Green Belt W/ Brown Stripe
Yonkyu
Objective: The Green with Brown Stripe belt represents a refining period for our students. This is the final
pre-brown step so we take this stage in the training very seriously. A refinement of past material is important since most
of our brown belts become Black Belts.
Required Information: Kempo punch techniques relating to 10 point blocking system, new animal techniques
Stances: Review
previously learned stances. Back leaning stance, Bo stance, Japanese Twist
Strikes: Rising front
punch, bridge finger, finger whip, Willows palm, bear paw, Phoenix strike
Kicks: Tornado kick, flying
side blade kick
Self-Defense: Defending from multiple attackers,
4 defenses for
front and back choke
4 defenses for wrist and lapel grabs
2 defenses for all club

Combinations: 11, 17, 19
Forms: 4 and 5 pinan
Additional Information: Proficient in the 12 strikes of the escrima stick.
