Other Martial Arts Styles:
Here at Dragon-Phoenix Martial Arts we study a martial art called Hawaiian-Shaolin
Kempo. There are many different variations
of Kempo some of which you will learn later in your training. You
may see Kempo spelled either with an 'M' or an 'N'. A lot of
times there is no difference in the systems besides those letters, in other
situations the two styles of Kempo/Kenpo can be very
different. One of the reasons we use the 'M' is because it refers
to more of a Chinese influence and some Japanese, where the
'N' sometimes has more of a Japanese influence. Kempo has evolved
many times over the year adding many facets of material
from other systems. So there are many other styles represented in
our style. Tae Kwon Do for instance is highly regarded for
their kicks, so we use some of there kicking techniques, Aikido which is
regarded for their self-defense and energy transfers is
incorporated into the style as well. Other arts like Boxing and Jujitsu/Judo,
have huge influences on how we move as well. We
do not claim to teach the best martial arts, we just try to teach a very
well rounded martial arts for all situations and distances.
Notes:
I leave this space to write down additional information and notes of extra material you may of learned or picked
up through your

as you learn it.
